KAA ARCHITECTURE

Grant Fitzpatrick founded KAA Design in 1988. In the intervening news the studio has designed houses for Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Julia-Louis Dreyfus, Kirk Kekorian, the Pritzker family as well as civic and commercial projects for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Christie's Auction House, the Santa Monica Beach Club, the Manhattan Country Club and Hugo Boss.

Kirkpatrick is very influenced by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra and Rudolf Schindler but a variety of other, wider historical references come into play from American Arts and Crafts to Deco to a variety of European traditions. In fact the work has a very pronounced Continental chic and flair. This is abidingly beautiful and poetic architecture, a modern take on a bygone era of charm with a signature elegance, refinement, decorum and grace.
